2.2.2.3 - Permanent messages in viewfinder
Some indications are permanently displayed in the viewfinder. These alarms originate in
the camera or VTR.
• W: indicates that the permanent white balance is in service. This flashes if the balance
is at limits or if the light level is insufficient.
• S: indicates that the shutter is in service. S is replaced by C if the clear scan is in service.
• L: indicates that the camera is in the local mode. This indicates that a control panel is
connected with the camera, but that the camera controls are active (this mode is used for
maintenance).
• 5, 10: indication of tape time remaining before the end of the cassette, i.e.:
- 10: between 10 and 5 minutes,
- 5: fixed, between 5 and 2.5 minutes,
- 5: flashing, between 2.5 and 5 minutes.
2.2.2.4 - Display time
