7.4.1

GENERAL COMMUNICATION WORKS

Uviline Connect Series instruments are able to communication via several interface:
-

USB-B port

- Proprietary extension port
- Bluetooth VCP (Virtual Com Port)
Any communication with instrument is indicated by Blue LED. One LED is showing communication from instrument to
computer, and another one from computer to instrument.
7.4.2 PROPRIETARY EXTENSION PORT
This connection port is available for future functions and extension.
WARNING:
This is not an Ethernet port connexion but a proprietary connection port. Don't plug any appropriated wire or connectors
inside this port.
7.4.3 USB-B PORT
Slave USB-B port is configured to:

Emulate RS232 Communication port for remote control. (FTDI chipset driver is required on computer
side and no more USB  RS3232 external adapter are required)
Remote control function will activate USB-B port as an emulated RS232 communication port on external computer remote
control. Therefore, after FTDI drivers has been installed on your remote computer, instrument will be remote controlled
without any additional USB to RS232 external adapter.
