Maintenance and care
7.1
Maintenance
To ensure the correct function, safety and service life of the device the following points must be
executed in the maintenance interval.
Used only original spare parts, otherwise the warranty expires.
All operations may only be made in closed state of the device!
For all operations you have to make sure, that the device will not close unintended. Danger of injury!

Clean the forks, especially of oil and grease
•
Check fork tines for wear, replace if necessary
•
Tighten all screw connections and hydraulic connections and check the hydraulic
system for leaks (may only be carried out by an expert)
•
Grease the running surfaces of the hydraulically actuated centre of gravity
balancer
•
Check all fastening screws for tightness and tighten if necessary (may only be
carried out by an expert)
•
Tighten all fastening screws (ensure that the screws are tightened in accordance
with the applicable tightening torques for the corresponding strength classes)
•
Check all joints, guides and bolts for proper function and adjust or replace if
necessary.
•
Checking the suspension parts, bolts and lugs
•
Change the hydraulic fluid at the same intervals as for lorry-mounted loader
cranes, use the prescribed specification
•
Inspection for cracks, wear, corrosion and functional safety by an expert
Maintenance work
•
Control and tighten all hydraulic thread joints and connection.
(The implementation is only allowed by an expert).
•
Tighten all hydraulic connections.
•
Check the hydraulic system for leaks.
•
Check the hydraulic oil filter, clean it if necessary (if available).
•
Check the hydraulic oil and replace it in accordance to the manufacturer
information (recommended hydraulic oil: HLP 46 according to DIN 51524 –
51535).
•
Check the hydraulic hoses for breaks and abrasion.
Damaged hydraulic hoses must be replaced
(generally it is recommended to replace hydraulic hoses every 6 years).
•
Only specified types of oil may be used!
