INSTRUCTIONS:
TO ATTACH THE BOTTLE (BOTTLE MOUNT OPTION)
1. Pre-puncture the center of the bottle stopper with a sterile hypodermic needle.
2. Load the bottle into the Shroud ensuring the spike remains centered to the
pre-punctured bottle stopper as it is loaded.
3. Press the bottle firmly into the Shroud to ensure the bottle collar clicks into
the Retaining Tabs.
TO ATTACH THE BOTTLE (TUBE FED OPTION)
1. Pre-punctured the center of bottle stopper with a sterile hypodermic needle.
2. Attach the Draw-Off Cap to the Product Container and the other end to
the Injector Tube Fed Port.
TO CHANGE FROM BOTTLE MOUNT TO TUBE FED ATTACHMENT
1. Remove the Non-Needle Guard Attachment by pulling forward on the
Non-Needle Guard Attachment.
2. Slide the Dose Chamber forward, removing it from the Handset.
3. Slide the Bottle Mount Shroud off the Tube Fed Port on the Dose Chamber.
4. Slide the Dose Chamber back onto the Handset.
5. Replace the Non-Needle Guard Attachment.
6. Attach Tube Feed to the Tube Fed Port.
TO CHANGE DOSE (if multiple Plunger Head are included with the injector)
1. Remove the Non-Needle Guard Attachment by pulling forward on the
non-needle guard attachment.
2. Slide the Dose Chamber forward, removing it from the Handset. It helps to
slide the chamber forward with a curving motion matching the curvature
of the handset.
3. Select the desired spare dose chamber by dose size (0.5ml, 1ml, 2ml, & 5ml).
4. Verify the connection lug is "proud" (visible below) of the bottom of
the dose chamber.
5. If using the bottle-mount option, attach the bottle mount shroud to the rear
of the dose chamber.
6. Slide the new dose chamber onto the handset verifying the connection
lug slides into the groove on the handset.
7. Re-Attach the non-needle guard attachment.
TO PRIME
1. Point the injector downwards at a 45° angle so the bottle is positioned vertically.
Make sure the fluid level in the bottle is always above the inlet spike to avoid air
being drawn into the injector.
2. Squeeze the Rear Handle towards the Front Handle repeatedly until air is expelled
from the Dose Chamber and fluid is moving through the Metal Luer Lock.
NEEDLE ATTACHMENT
1. Make sure the needle is sheathed to prevent accidental needle sticks.
2. Screw the needle onto the Metal Luer Lock.
DURING USE - For Maximum Effectiveness
1. Position the injector at the required injection site of the animal.
2. Keep body and free hand well clear of the injector to avoid self injection.
3. After pushing the needle into the animal, squeeze the Rear Handle towards the
Front Handle to dispense a full dose.
4. Allow Handset to move apart and observe that the Dose Chamber refills.
5. Replace needles as required. Replace any bent, damaged, or soiled
needles immediately.
TO REMOVE THE BOTTLE (BOTTLE MOUNT OPTION)
1. Press firmly inwards on Retaining Tabs.
2. While maintaining pressure on Retaining Tabs, pull bottle to remove
from the Shroud.
NEEDLE REMOVAL
Option 1: If needle is sheathed, unscrew from Metal Luer Lock and remove.
Option 2: If needle is not sheathed, use the Needle Removal Tool for safe removal.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To ensure high performance from the injector, attention to cleanliness is essential.
1. Remove the needle from injector prior to cleaning.
2. Clean the exterior of the injector in detergent and water.
3. Submerge the injector in clean water with detergent. Squeeze and release the
Handset repeatedly to pump water through the injector.
4. After the majority of the residual product is removed, rinse the injector
with clean water.
5. Remove the injector from water and continue to cycle the Handset to
empty the injector.
6. To sterilize the injector, place it into boiling water for a minimum of 5 minutes.
Do not touch or place your hands into the boiling water.
LUBRICATION
1. Unscrew the Retainer Cap.
2. Remove the Retainer by squeezing the Rear Handle towards the Front Handle.
3. While squeezing the Handset together, apply 2-3 drops of olive oil to the Plunger
Head O-Ring. Ensure oil is applied to both top and bottom of O-Ring.
4. Replace the Retainer and Retainer Cap.
5. Squeeze the Rear Handle towards the Front Handle and release. Repeat to cycle
the Handset 2-3 times to disperse oil.
