INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

CAUTION: Bear in mind that when using several clamps, the weight of the load is shared between them.
CAUTION: Curved loads reduce the contact surface.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT
In case of accessory malfunction:
• Stop all activities immediately.
• Set up a security perimeter.
• Call emergency and/or rescue personnel.
• Call in qualified personnel to remove the load.
STORAGE
When not in use, the accessory must be stored in a place not accessible to persons not authorised to use it. The accessory must be
clean, lubricated in its moving parts and stored in a dry environment isolated from water; when lubricating the component, beware
of any lubricant dripping onto the gripping jaws.
The accessory must be stored with the jaws in the open position, or in the closed position but with soft material (e.g. cardboard
of suitable thickness) in between to protect the cam teeth. If the accessory is to be permanently removed from service, all envi-
ronmental protection regulations applicable in the country of use must be observed.
MAINTENANCE
• The accessory must be visually inspected and maintained regularly to ensure its safe use. It must be checked for any signs
of corrosion or premature wear.
• The accessory must be inspected and tested with a load by an expert technician at least once every three months
and in any case, in accordance with the safety regulations in force in the country of use.
• Periodically, especially after heavy or intensive use, it is necessary to lubricate the mechanical components.
• The cam and knurled socket must remain clean and dry: they must never come into contact with the lubricant.
• The condition of the load ring and the joint must be checked regularly.
• The accessory must not be disassembled or repaired by unauthorised personnel. Personnel must be authorizedby the employer
and must be experienced and qualified technicians. Any unauthorised disassembly or repair releases Beta Utensili S.p.a.
from any resulting liability.
• The accessory must not be modified. Beta Utensili S.p.a. accepts no liability for the consequences of any modifications made
to it, or for the removal of parts forming the accessory itself.
• Beta Utensili S.p.a. guarantees the operation of the accessory supplied only if it is equipped with original parts and components
in accordance with the specifications indicated in this manual. Replacement of original parts and components with those
of another manufacturer releases Beta Utensili S.p.a. from any liability for any resulting consequences.
• The maintenance table at the end of this user manual must be kept up-to-date by a competent person
