(hereinafter referred to as 'the accessory')
This document was originally written in Italian. In case of doubts with versions translated into other languages, the original Italian
version shall prevail: before using the accessory please contact our offices for any clarificationsi
ATTENTION

GENERAL WARNINGS.
• The accessory must only be used in full compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards, at the place of use,
concerning: installation, use, maintenance and inspection of lifting devices.
• Ensure that all people who are to use the accessory are properly trained and familiar with all functions, operations to be performed,
regulations and safety requirements.
• The accessory must be placed under the responsibility of a person who is fully familiar with the regulations applicable at the place
of use and who has the authority to enforce them.
• Installation and commissioning of the accessory must be carried out under safe conditions for the installer.
• Before using the accessory, the operator must ensure that he has a full view and that there are no obstacles that could damage
the loading sling and cause accidents to persons or damage to equipment.
• When using the accessory, the user must ensure that the load sling is constantly under tension by the load and that it is not
temporarily held by an obstacle during descent; this could cause the sling to break when the load is released.
• The operator must continuously observe the load in order to prevent any risk of being held during lifting operations (ascent or descent).
• If several clamps are used for lifting a load, a lifting scheme is required, which must be defined and approved by a qualified
technician; the lifting scheme must ensure an even distribution of forces.
• No activities that could distract the operator's attention should be undertaken during load handling operations.
• The operator must not leave the accessory under load unattended for long periods; if this condition cannot be avoided, the
operator must ensure that this will not create a danger to persons or equipment.
• Beta Utensili S.p.a. accepts no liability for the use of the accessory in any use and assembly configuration other than those
described in this manual.
• Beta Utensili S.p.a. accepts no liability for consequences arising from the use of the accessory in combination with other lifting
devices from other manufacturers.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR USE
IT IS FORBIDDEN:
• To use the accessory if the general warnings are not observed.
• To use the accessory to lift loads of mass above the max. WLL or below the min. WLL (caution: consider that as the thickness of the
load decreases, its weight also decreases; consider that by using several clamps, the weight of the load is distributed between them)
• To use the clamp to lift metal sheets and/or metal components with a surface hardness of more than 30 HRC / 300 HB (caution:
some situations, e.g. welding, material coatings, heat treatments and production processes, can change the original hardness
of the load even locally)
• To use the accessory to lift loads that do not ensure full contact with the jaws (caution: curved loads reduce the contact surface)
• To use the accessory to lift more than one sheet metal and/or metal component.
• To use the accessory if it or its components are not in good condition.
• To use the accessory if the nameplate and/or markings are missing and/or illegible.
• To use the accessory if its components are not correctly installed.
• To use the accessory if the safety devices are not functioning properly or are damaged.
