Maximum Ramp
power
Adjustments: clockwise to maximum
This regulator enables adjustment to the maximum power when the load is lower than normal.
Setting the power below the required threshold does not cause functional problems, but does
affect the form factor of the absorbed current, which exhibits the characteristics of an inductive
load. Therefore this setting should preferably be above 75%, i.e. adjusted clockwise almost to
the limit.
This setting affects the system only during ramp-up. Changing it once ramp-up is complete
has no immediate effect but will take effect on the next firing.
Minimum power: sets the power delivered by the regulator when ramp-up starts. If this
trimmer is turned all the way anticlockwise, ramp-up starts from 0, while if it is turned all the
way clockwise ramp-up will start from the maximum value (in which case there will be no
ramp-up as the regulator is already delivering maximum power). This trimmer should be set
near the minimum (within a quarter rotation of the minimum anticlockwise setting). This setting
affects the system only at the moment ramp-up starts. Changing it once ramp-up has started
has no immediate effect but will take effect on the next firing.
Ramp: this trimmer regulates the time elapsing between the start setting at minimum value
and the end setting at maximum value. For any power settings between zero and maximum
these times range from around 5 minutes with the trimmer set to the minimum (all the way
anticlockwise) to around 12 minutes with the trimmer set to maximum (all the way clockwise).
