- Install the unit on a suitably robust structure, securing it via the punchouts on the base of the unit. Cover the
screws with the 4 screw caps supplied.
- Secure input and output cables with cable glands which ensure correct fit and prevent accidental cable
slippage.
- During installation, be careful not to damage the control unit's ventilation grilles. Do not obstruct the ventilation
grilles during installation: insufficient ventilation may cause damage to the unit.
- Connect the power supply to the lower terminals on the master switch as indicated by the yellow plaque,
following the correct phase sequence L1, L2, L3.
If the unit is to work properly it is essential that the correct phase sequence is observed – otherwise the
unit switching will be erratic and it will not provide the required power (see instructions below).
- Earth the unit via the yellow/green terminal.
- The power supply line should be protected upstream using the appropriate switches, and should be of section
calculated in accordance with its length and the load applied.
The power supply line and supply protection falls outside the scope of our responsibility and are part of
the unit installation.
- Connect the output to load to the terminals as shown in the photo. Use wires of section suitable for the installed
load.
Heating panels should be earthed via the appropriate terminal.
- The temperature control thermostat and any selectors/protective devices should be connected via the 2
terminals provided. Use only volt-free contacts.
- If the system is not connected to a thermostat these two terminals should be bridged (this type of installation is
not recommended).
The contact line is powered at 5V; therefore the thermostat should be installed reasonably close to the control unit.
If the thermostat is located at a distance of over 2 metres it should ideally be connected using shielded cable, with
the shielding earthed at the unit end of the connection and isolated at the other end.
