Assemble any accessories (sensitive rubber profi le, apron,
container support, etc).
Attention: Due to its high speed, the UP2EL UP2EH model can-
not be fi tted with accessories.
3.4 Spring balancing
Check for suitable springs as it is shown in table 1
N.B.: (Only for UP4E-UP4EH) The barriers come with a sepa-
rate spring (type UP4M) for a net span of between 2500 to
3500 mm.
If the high, and therefore heavier, sensitive edge is used, refer
to UPGR apron column for spring choice.
If the UPAM mobile support or the UPSN articulated joint are
added, spring choice does not change.
Tighten springs by means of the proper tie rod [20] and with
boom arm in a vertical position.
Unlock motor.
After spring tightening, place boom arm at approximately 45° (all
accessories included) and make sure it is well fi xed.
Make also sure that, in closing and opening fi nal positions, the
boom arm remains fi rm.
Attention: Never use the motor force to support the weight of
the arm. Always use the balancing spring.
3.5 Limit switch adjustment

of approximately 90°. If the opening/closing position is to
be changed, adjust the internal mechanical lock [16] to
