Online/Offline
q
For configuration changing, switch the unit to 'Offline' and back to 'Online' ( Miscellane -
ous, Online/Offline).
a
When switching the unit to status off-line, the outputs will remain in the status at switch-over time !!!
Manual/automatic operation
q
When using controllers, automatic or manual operation may be requested by several points. The
controller leaves the manual mode, when all control signals request automatic operation ("Hand"
hat Vorrang!).
Example: INP6 is provided for potentiometric transducer and connected accordingly (position
feed-back).
From the calibration menu, the controller can be switched to manual operationn (H, with Man.
displayed at the bottom left). Now, I and M can be used to mark line Y and the actuator can be
driven to its limits by means of I / D. After calibration, the manual mode must be switched off
again on this page (press H again).
Switching over to manual mode is also possible for programmers (if provided in the engineering), for
changing the program set-point (analog or digital) manually. Programmer operation continues in the
background.

Behaviour in case of trouble
The unit needs no maintenance. In case of trouble, check:
w Is the unit in on-line mode ?
w Is the supply voltage connected correctly? Are voltage and frequency within the tolerances?
w Were all connections made correctly ?
w Do the sensors and actuators work properly?
w Is the engineering OK?
w Is the unit configured for the required operating principle?
w Do the adjusted parameters have the required effect?
w Are the I/O extension modules plugged in and clicked in position correctly (modular option C)?
w Is a terminating resistor activated (can be required dependent on the instrument position in the
bus topology with CANopen and PROFIBUS DP)?
w Were the required EMC measures carried out (screened cables, earthings, protective circuits, etc.)?
w Does the diagnostic page of the test engineering indicate an error?
