5. Startup of the product
The control box incorporates a three-phase contactor
with a thermal relay. The contactor is cut in and cut
out by a float switch, and thus starts and stops the
pump. When the contact in the float switch is closed,
the contactor operates, and the pump starts.
5.1 Starting and stopping the pump
1. Press the Start button.
a. If the float switch contact is closed, the pump
starts.
b. If the float switch contact is open, the pump
remains stopped.
2. Press the Stop/Reset button.
a. If the float switch contact is closed, the pump
stops.
b. If the float switch contact is open, the pump
stops.
5.2 Resetting the thermal relay
If the thermal relay has tripped, it can be reset by
briefly pressing the Stop/Reset button.
• If the float switch contact is open, the thermal
relay is cut in, but the pump remains stopped.
• If the float switch contact is closed, the thermal
relay is cut in, and the pump starts.
6. Control functions
6.1 Operating panel
The control box has two push-buttons: one for
starting the pump and one for stopping the pump and
resetting the thermal relay.
