3.2 Using the product
ATTENTION!
Do not allow the product to become hotter than 300°C for extended
periods of time.
After 4 hours of continuous use, the product must cool for at least 40
minutes before it can be used again.
Always clean and dry the grill thoroughly after each use to prolong its life.
To use the product, you will need the following:
• Charcoal or briquettes (we recommend using Lump Charcoal).
• Lighting cubes or a liquid barbecue fuel.
• Barbecue lighter.
1.
Open the charcoal oven door (19) and lid and remove the grill plates (27).
2.
Place the charcoal on the charcoal grate through the opening of the door or the
top.
3.
Spread some firelighters or liquid fuel between the coals. Read the packaging to
determine the correct amount.
4.
Light the firelighters or fuel to get the coals evenly hot. You may also use a
Charcoal Starter or a large gas lighter for this purpose.
5.
Replace the grill plates (27).
6.
Close the charcoal oven door (19) and lid.
7.
Open the air vent (15) and stack (23) to let oxygen in and smoke out.
8.
On the thermometer you can see exactly how hot the product is. The desired
temperature depends on the chosen food and your requirements (grilling,
smoking, roasting).
9.
Once the desired temperature is reached, you can begin to place food on the
grill plates (27).
3.3 Regulating the temperature
Raising the temperature:
• Turn the rotating handle (22) upward to raise the coal grate higher.
• Open the stack (23) and the air vent (15) to let oxygen in so the coals will burn
more.
Lowering the temperature:
• Turn the crank (22) down to lower the coal grate.
• Close the stack (23) and the air vent (15) so that the coals burn less.
Note
If the lid of the stack does not close completely, you can cut the spring
shorter so it puts less pressure on the lid.
