Decentralised ventilation unit – KWL
All of the following information and instructions are only intended for an authori-
sed qualified electrician!
The electrical connections and electrical commissioning may only be carried out by
qualified electricians�
Installation, servicing and maintenance work may only be carried out by qualified electri-
cians�
7�1 Clean unit
The unit must be regularly checked and cleaned depending on the degree of contamination.
If the unit is out of operation for a long time, the unit must be activated for approximately one hour every 6 months.

Touching live parts will lead to electric shock�
Before any servicing and maintenance work, isolate the unit from the power supply and secure against unin-
tentional restart!
Damage to the unit due to operation without a filter!
If the unit is operated without a filter, this can cause damage to the unit.
Unit operation is only permitted with a filter.
Clean unit with a vacuum cleaner, a small brush or a cloth and soapy water depending on the degree of contamination.
The sound insulation lining of the unit is covered with a wipeable film. To avoid damage, only wipe this surface with a
damp cloth.
7�2 Clean heat exchanger

Before any maintenance or installation work or before opening the terminal compartment, the unit must be fully
isolated from the power supply and secured against unintended restart!
Installation and maintenance work may only be carried out by appropriate specialists�
The heat exchanger must be regularly checked for dirt and dust deposits�
Brush the blades with a single nozzle and a vacuum cleaner to clean the heat exchanger, or clean with water�
When cleaning, ensure that the heat exchanger is not damaged mechanically or chemically!
Allow the heat exchanger to dry before installation!�
7�3 Replace filter
