Decentralised ventilation unit – KWL
Condition 3:
The room temperature is higher than the intake air temperature.
The bypass is closed if one of the aforementioned conditions is no longer met!
6311 Demand-driven regulation of ventilation units through CO
The ventilation unit has the connection option for a sensor (CO
the unit main board pursuant to the wiring diagram.
A CO
sensor is factory preinstalled and built into the unit. If another air quality sensor or a room CO
2
used, the preinstalled CO
sensor must be disconnected and the desired sensor must be connected in its place (see
2
wiring diagram).
The CO
and VOC controller monitors the CO
2
higher concentrations to prevent, for example, signs of fatigue, the lack of concentration or headaches.
The humidity controller ensures increased ventilation at higher levels of indoor humidity (% RH) for the removal of mois-
ture to counteract damage to the building material.
In order to activate the sensor controller, the sensor must be adjusted in Service menu 08-AQS after connection to the
main board.
The pre-installed CO
sensor is preset in Service menu 08. The ventilation unit must also be set to Mode DCV.

6312 Presence detector operatioin
When the motion detector no longer detects persons present and the subsequent delay time has passed, the unit will
switch to the flow rate set for presence detector operation.
The temperature setting in "presence detector operation" stays the same as for normal operation (set temperature
remains unchanged).
Contact status:
– Contact closed = presence of persons = MANUAL or CAV ventilation mode
– Contact open and delay time expired = presence of persons = Presence detector operation
Setting the presence detector operation:
– The ventilation mode MANUAL (CAV) is provided for the standard use of a presence detector.
Alternatively, however, the fire contact can be reconfigured so that operation in DCV mode is also possible. The pre-
sence detector is then superordinate to the DCV mode and the fire contact can no longer be used.
– The input (terminal 15, 16 module A) is provided for the use of FIREMODE in the factory setting. Presence detector
operation is activated in Service menu-02 HW setting.
– The delay time (period after PIR-sensor contact is opened) is set in Service menu-14 Presence detector in the range
from 1 minute to 60 minutes. The standard setting is 30 minutes.
– The setting for the desired flow rate for presence detector operation is set in Service menu-14 Presence detector in
the range from 20-50 % of the maximum flow rate. The standard setting is 20 %.
6313 Modbus
The fan unit can also be controlled via the following interfaces:
– Modbus TCP
– Modbus RTU RS 485 via A1 25-26
– BACnet
64 Setting via control element
In order to operate the unit, turn the main switch to position I (ON). When the main switch is turned on, the controller
display lights up.
