Your Gazelle will have 3 batteries: one for the main engine and rotor, one for the FAN system and
one for the Rx. For CG reasons it is better to install it on the front of the fuse.
Mise en vol /
First Flight
Avant de voler assurez-vous de maîtriser le temps de vol de votre maquette. Par expérience, il vaut
mieux privilégier le poids que l'autonomie. Vous aurez un bien meilleur comportement en vol si votre
hélico est léger que s'il est lourd. Notre prototype vole avec des accus 6S 4500 sur le moteur principal
et un 4S 2000mah pour le fenestron et un 2S 1800mah pour le récepteur.
Before the first flight, please check the CG. It is better to have an optimized weight than a lot of flight
time. You will have a better flight feeling if your scale is light. Our Gazelle is flying with the following
batteries:
1 x 6S 4500mah for the main rotor /engine

1 x 4S 2000mah for the FAN system
-
-
1 x 2S 1800mah for the Rx
Avant de mettre en route le rotor principal il faut démarrer le fenestron. Basculez votre interrupteur
qui pilote le fenestron est laissez le prendre les tours (cela prend quelques secondes avec le
démarrage lent). Une fois le fenestron lancé, vous pouvez mettre en route le rotor principal. En vol,
ne branchez pas d'autorotation pour le fenestron, laissez le tourner tout le temps. A l'atterrissage,
coupez en dernier lieu le fenestron, seulement quand le moteur principal est coupé.
Before starting the main rotor, please start the FAN system by switching on the radio, then leave the
FAN having some RPM (it can takes few seconds with the soft start of the FAN ESC settings). When
FAN is running correctly, you can start the main rotor with your RC stick. During the flight don't use
the Auto rotation for the FAN! Leave it running all the time. When landing, stop first the main rotor,
then stop the FAN only when main engine is totally stopped.
En conclusion l'utilisation du fenestron électrique est très simple :
démarré AVANT le moteur du rotor principal et coupé APRES le rotor principal
As summarized, using the FAN is easy: remind that FAN must be started first before main
rotor (engine) and stopped last after the main rotor (engine).
