USE
1.
Place the appliance in the middle of the table. Make sure that the space around the appliance is
properly ventilated.
2.
Carefully place the stone or griddle in the top of the holders. Make sure it is positioned firmly and
straight, and that the unit itself is level and stable.
3.
Make sure that the grill is switched off (position MIN). Plug into an earthed socket.
4.
Use a thin layer of vegetable oil in the raclette pans and on the grill plate. This will prevent sticking
and cleaning after use will be easier.
5.
Let the appliance preheat for at least 10 minutes until the grill is hot enough for cooking. When the
set temperature is reached, the blue light will turn off.
NOTE: The stone needs more time to reach the operating temperature. Let it heat up for at least 20
minutes.
6.
Cut meat into small squares to shorten cooking time. The thickness of the food determines the
cooking time. Turn the food often to ensure even cooking.
7.
Only use wooden or plastic utensils so you do not damage the anti-stick coating of the grill plate or
mini pans.
SETTING OF TEMPERATURE
·
You can set the temperature of the appliance as required. The temperature ranges from minimum
(MIN) to maximum (MAX). A mid-way temperature is recommended.
·
This switch is also the 'on' switch, and MIN is the off position.
·
Turn the temperature dial to the desired position. The red indicator light will light up once the unit
is plugged in, and will stay on as long as the unit is receiving power. The blue indicator light will light
up to show that the unit is heating up, and will turn off later to indicate that the unit has reached the
operating temperature. When the temperature of the griddle drops, the blue light will automatically
turn back on to show that the unit is heating up again.
STONE GRILLING
·
Place the stone with its shiny side and overflow edges upwards.
·
Never place a cold stone on a preheated appliance.
·
Apply a very thin layer of salt to the stone to prevent sticking. Caution: do not use any oil on the stone.
·
Never place frozen food on the stone, always defrost them beforehand.
·
Do not place sour food (gherkins, pearl onions) on the stone.
·
Never touch the hot stone with your bare hands.
GRILLING
·
Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the grill plate and mini pans.
·
Only use wooden or plastic utensils so you do not damage the stone or the anti-stick coating of the
grill plate or mini pans.
RACLETTE
·
Use a thin layer of vegetable oil on the raclette pans. This will prevent sticking and cleaning after use
will be easier.
·
For raclettes use approximately 200-250 g special raclette cheese per person. Cut the cheese into thin
slices of 2 mm.
