CENTERING OF THE RUNNING BELT
• The running belt is off-center
Look for the colored indicators on the back of your Treadmill. If you see red, the belt needs to be re-centered. This will help preserve the Treadmill's running belt and prevent
unexpected stops.
Run your Treadmill at 2.5 mph (4 km/h) and stand at the back of the machine.
• The belt is off to the left
Turn the left adjustment screw clockwise one-half turn.
• The belt is shifted to the right
Turn the right adjustment screw clockwise one-half turn.
Allow the belt to run for 1 to 2 minutes and repeat if necessary. Be careful not to over tighten the belt.
• The running belt locks up during the run
The running belt is a wear part that will loosen over time. Retighten it as soon as it starts to slip (slippery feeling, jerks in speed). Turn the 2 adjustment screws clockwise by
half a turn. Repeat the operation if necessary, but be careful not to overtighten the belt. The belt is correctly tensioned if you can lift the edges by 2 to 3 cm on each side.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The treadmill does not turn on or turns off during use:
- Check to make sure the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet (to verify the wall outlet is working, plug in a light or other electrical device to check). Check that the power cord is properly plugged into the back of the Treadmill. Check the switch
on the Treadmill frame near the power cord to make sure it is in the | position. Check the fuse.
Treadmill is making noise:
- Frictional noise: Check to make sure the running belt is centered properly (the belt should not rub on the sides).
- Squeaking noise: Inspect and tighten all external parts of the treadmill if necessary.
- However, some noises are related to use. They may be caused by your shoes rubbing against the running belt or by the heat sealing of the running belt to the rollers.
If my home circuit breaker blows while I'm using my treadmill:
- Make sure the power cord is plugged into a wall outlet and not connected via a power strip or extension cord. Make sure only your treadmill is plugged into the 16 amp circuit breaker.
