9. Troubleshooting
The weed sweeper does not switch on:
• The mains plug is not plugged into the socket on the extension cable.
• The mains plug on the extension cable is not plugged into the mains socket.
• The mains socket is switched off.
The brush does not rotate:
• Switch off the weed sweeper immediately and disconnect it from the mains.
• Check whether there are any objects wrapped around the brush or trapped in the protective cover.
• If necessary, detach the brush and protective cover and remove the trapped objects.
Weeds are not fully removed:
• The brush is worn out or damaged and must be replaced.
• Tough weeds must be brushed several times to ensure that they are completely removed.
10. Care and cleaning
Before cleaning or servicing the appliance, switch it off and disconnect the mains plug.
Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the product, therefore
never open/dismantle it. Repair and maintenance work (including opening the product and servicing the
mains cable) must be done by a technician or specialist repair centre.
Do not allow water or moisture to get inside the appliance.
Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the product. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals, as
these may discolour the plastic surface. Never use scouring agents, alcohol, petrol, spirits or other similar
liquids to clean the product.
When servicing and cleaning the product, wear protective gloves to avoid injuring yourself on the sharp
edges or the brush.
a) Maintenance
• Check the brush for signs of wear and tear before and after each use.
• Replace the brush when it becomes worn out. Replacement brushes can be purchased from our online shop
(www.conrad.com).
• Never use brushes with a diameter of more than 110 mm or brushes that are not designed for the motor's speed
of rotation.
