4.3- Set up and preparation for operation
- Check that the machine is completely and correctly assembled according to local regulations.
- Make sure that no parts are missing. If one (or more) part(s) is (are) missing, do NOT use the saw.
Contact your local dealer to obtain the missing parts and make sure to correctly assemble them before
using the machine. Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
- Before using the machine, make sure each time that
- there are no faulty connections (tears, cuts, etc.)
- there is no damage to the machine
- all screws are tight
- Ensure that the working area meets the following conditions:
- no danger of slipping
- flat and levelled surface
- free of obstacles, free form tripping hazard
- sufficiently well lit
- Do not operate the machine in the direct vicinity of gas or petrol pipes or containers, or any other
easily inflammable materials or explosive products or materials.
- The saw must be installed on a flat, non-slippery surface with enough space to allow sufficient
movement. The area and access to the saw should be free from obstacles and tripping hazard, slippery
locations must be treated with the corresponding material, for example, sand.
It is necessary to regularly remove sawdust and pieces of wood.
- The machine is only suitable for stationary operation. It is recommended to fix the machine in the
ground to avoid machine tilting or moving during sawing operation. To this, the supporting feet are
fitted with holes allowing permanent installation to an appropriate supporting ground. Use
appropriate bolts (not provided) to fix the feet to the ground.
