Specifying the Operation Mode (E36233A and E36234A Only)
DO NOT use Coupling mode and Tracking mode when Auto-Series or Auto-Parallel mode is selected.
The Operation Mode allows you to specify the output capability when two independent outputs are being used.
– Independent: This operation supply two independent outputs capability to a maximum rating of +30 V, +20 A
(E36233A) and +60 V, +10 A (E36234A). In Independent mode, the instrument is at its default output state.
– Auto-Series: This operation increase the output voltage capability to a maximum rating of +60 V, +20 A (E36233A)
and +120 V, +10 A (E36234A). In Auto-Series mode, the instrument doubles the voltage across Output 1 and Output
2.
– Auto-Parallel: This operation increases the current capability to a maximum rating of +30 V, +40 A (E36233A) and
+60 V, +20 A (E36234A). In Auto-Parallel mode, the instrument doubles the output current on Output 1 and Output
2.
– Tracking: This operation tracks the voltage for Output 1 and Output 2. See
details.
1. Press Source Settings > Operation Mode.
2. Press Independ, Series, Parallel, or Tracking to select the desired operation mode.
3. Press Back to exit.
