INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
It is important to make sure that the lever (No 5 in Picture 3) 'clicks' into exactly the right position when choosing a function.
For optimal cleaning result, spray-guns should be cleaned immediately after use.
1.CLEANING
Before the machine is used for the first time, the filtrate container (No 5 in Picture 1) must be filled to 3/4 of the volume with
clean water. This water will be re-used (recycled water).
Empty the spray-gun of any residual paint into a separate spills dish. Turn the lever (No 5 in Picture 3) to "Washing" position
(No 1 in Picture 3). As long as the foot pedal (No 7 in Picture 1) is depressed, recycled water will be pumped through the
cleaning brush. Use the cleaning brush to clean the spray-gun.
Then rinse the spray-gun's paint channel with clean water. Press the tapered nozzle of the rinse-gun (No 11 in Picture 1)
against the paint channel of the spray-gun. Pull the triggers on the spray- and rinse-guns simultaneously. Then rinse the outside
of the spray-gun with the rinse-gun.
2. EMPTYING THE FILTRATE CONTAINER
When the water level reaches the level of the working platform (No 10 in Picture 1), it is time to perform the coagulation
process. The filtrate container (No 5 in Picture 1) must however first be completely drained of its remaining content.
Turn the lever (No 5 in Picture 3) to "Draining" position (No 3 in Picture 3) and start the draining by opening the valve for the
pump (No 4 in Picture 3). The pump will now completely drain the filtrate container through the drain hose into the regular
drain-water system.
You will be able to tell when the filtrate container is empty, since the pump will start to run faster. Then close the valve for the
pump.
N.B.: When the pump runs faster it sucks air only. This will not harm the pump.
3. COAGULATION
N.B.: IT IS ABSOLUTELY VITAL THAT THE COAGULATION PROCESS IS CARRIED OUT WITH THE GREATEST CARE,
SO THAT LARGE FLOCKS OF COAGULATED PAINT ARE FORMED. OTHERWISE THE FILTER WILL IMMEDIATELY
BECOME OBSTRUCTED, AND CANNOT BE RE-USED.
A: Remove the working platform (No 10 Picture 1).
B: Open the valve for the paddle agitator (No2 picture 3).
C: Add the coagulation powder as recommended by NEXA Autocolor. Stir it thoroughly into the water with the help of a
suitable instrument, such as a whisk or similar.
D: Allow the paddle agitator to run for a few minutes. Stir the water again to dissolve any residual powder that may have sunk
to the bottom.
E: Stop the paddle agitator occasionally for around 30 seconds since this improves the coagulation process. The total
coagulation time is around 5-10 min, depending on the amount of powder, the level of contamination, etc.
When this is done, close the valve for the paddle agitator (No 2 picture 3).
