It is recommended that the freezer is defrosted periodically or when the thickness
of the frost is more than 3 mm.
Do not scrape off hoarfrost or ice with a knife or pointed object. Doing
this may damage the refrigerant tubes.
1. Set the temperature control knob to the OFF position and unplug the
appliance from the mains supply.
2. Open the door and remove all the frozen food and wrap in thick blankets or
layers of paper to keep them cold.
3. To accelerate the defrosting process, place a pan of hot water on a stand in
the freezer.
4. After defrosting is finished, clean the inside of the appliance. Wipe up
condensation with a cloth or sponge. Wipe dry the compartment.
5. Plug the appliance back to the mains socket.
6. Place the food back into the freezer and set the temperature to the desired
setting.
