General Instructions

3.3 Safety Instructions

This terminal is intended strictly for professional use.
Before operating the terminal, please read the information shown in the user manual with
care. These contain important information about the installation, the intended uses and
maintenance of the terminal. The manufacturer is not liable if the following instructions are not
observed. When using electrical components under elevated safety requirements, the corresponding
regulations must be adhered to.
The Terminal 3010 is not approved for use in ATEX environments. A special-purpose version is

available for ATEX zones 2 and 22.
The rated mains voltage is 100 – 240 Volts. The power outlet must be grounded and easily
f
f
accessible. The electrical connection conditions must match the values printed on the power
supply.
The terminal must only be opened by trained Soehnle Industrial Solutions service technicians. The
f
f
housing has no user-servicable parts.
The terminal must be taken out of service if the power supply is damaged. Disconnect the power
f
f
supply and contact a Soehnle Industrial Solutions service location.
When the terminal is used for approved transactions, the affi xed approval tags must not be
f
f
damaged.
This terminal is intereference-suppressed (in accordance with EC Directive 2014/30/EU). Under
f
f
extreme electrostatic and electromagnetic interference, e.g. when operating a radio transmitter or
mobile phone in the immediate vicinity of the terminal, the weight display can be infl uenced.
Following the end of the interference, the terminal can again be used as intended; it may have to
be switched back on. Contact your Soehnle Industrial Solutions service partner if the electrostatic
interference is permanent in nature.
The device is a measurement instrument. Airfl ow, vibrations, rapid temperature changes and sun
f
f
exposure can infl uence the weighing result.
