7.10 Factory setting (reset)
To reset the recorder to its factory settings:
1) Call up the main menu: Either press the button MENU at
the recorder/on the remote control or press the right mouse
button to call up the toolbar and then click the symbol
"Main Menu".
2) In the bar located at the top of the menu, click "Advanced".

4) A reset to the factory settings can be performed for all or
specific setting types. The setting types listed correspond
to the menus or submenus with the same name. To select
setting types, click the respective fields with the mouse.

7.11 Calling up the event list
The recorder saves all events such as loss of camera signal,
switch-on and switch-off of the recorder, manual recording,
replay of a recording, changes to the menu settings etc.
Call up the menu "System" and then click the submenu "Log".

To make sure that any tampering with the recorder is shown in
the event list, the list will not be deleted when the hard disk is
formatted or when the recorder is reset to its factory settings.
7.12 Showing system information

Call up the menu "Device" and click the submenu "Info". The
section "Info" will be selected:

In the line "Device ID", you can enter a specific identification
number, e. g. when multiple recorders are to be accessed via
a network. The recorders can only be addressed separately
when they have different ID numbers.
In the line "Device Name", a different name can be entered
so that it will be easier to distinguish multiple recorders from
each other by their name.
Two additional sections provide further information:
"Channel Info": Information with regard to the camera
"Record Info":
If required, refer to the menu overview in chapter 6.5.
7.13 Switching off the recorder
Prior to using the POWER switch, shut down the recorder
properly. Otherwise, settings or current recordings may be lost.
1) Call up the toolbar: Either press the right mouse button or
