7.3.3 Sound reproduction
Only the sound of the camera channel displayed in full-screen
mode, or, in the multi-image mode, only the sound of the
image highlighted by a blue border (to be selected with the
left mouse button) will be reproduced.
1) To adjust the volume, show the toolbar (Fig. 7-10) with the
right mouse button.
2) Click the speaker symbol
appear.
3) Keep the left mouse button pressed and adjust the volume
with the slider.
4) To mute the sound, click the speaker symbol located directly
beneath the slider. Proceed in the same way to unmute
the sound.
To mute and unmute the sound, the button MUTE at the
recorder or on the remote control may be used as well. Please
note that the volume control (slider) must not be shown.
7.4 Operating bars – fast access to settings
and functions
For fast access to the setting menus and the most important
functions, the toolbar (click the right mouse button to show
it) is available; for each camera, the quick-access bar (click the
desired camera image with the left mouse button) is provided.

Symbol Function
To call up the main menu; the following will be selected:

The lock symbol will only be available when the password
feature has been enabled (chapter 6.6).
When the lock is opened, click the lock symbol to enable
the password protection feature (chapter 7.1)
When the lock is closed, the password protection feature
is enabled, click the lock symbol to open the window for
changing the user (chapter 7.2).
View with four camera images
The recorders AXR-108 and AXR-116 provide additional
symbols for a view with 9, 12, (16), (25) images.
View with camera images of different sizes
Stream switch for the camera image highlighted by a blue
border:
"Mainstream" = high resolution, high data volumes
"Substream" = low resolution, low data volumes
The "Preview Policy" defines the priorities to be applied
when system utilization has reached 100%
Realtime = highest frame rate possible, lower image quality
Balanced = medium frame rate, medium image quality
Smooth = highest image quality possible, fewer frames per
second
To start / stop the image sequence (chapter 7.3)
To adjust the volume; to mute and unmute the sound

7.5 Adjusting colour, brightness, contrast
of the live images
1) Use the left mouse button to click the live image to be ad-
justed. (In the single-image mode, simply press the left mouse
button.) The quick-selection bar will appear (Fig. 7-11).
2) Click the colour palette symbol
displayed in the single-image mode and the menu for the
image settings will appear:

3) To go back to the previous view after the menu was exited,
double-click with the left mouse button.
7.6 Recordings
According to the factory settings, the recorder will, after
it is switched on, record all channels to which a camera is
connected. When this setting has been changed (menu
"Parameter", submenu "Record", section "Record Schedule"),
recording can be manually started for a channel that is not
automatically recorded.
1) Use the left mouse button to click the live image to
be recorded. (In the single-image mode, simply press the
left mouse button.) The quick-selection bar will appear
(Fig. 7-11).
2) Click the camera symbol

As an alternative, use the button
remote control to start recording, and the button ■ to stop
recording. In the multi-image mode, the camera whose image
is highlighted by a blue border will be recorded. If required,
