respective camera image in full-screen mode or to automati-
cally send an e-mail with the snapshot.
Connect the connection [–] of a sensor to the pin G
(ground) and connect the connection [+] of the sensor to the
respective channel input (1 – 16) of the recorder. Proceed in
the same way to connect the other sensors. The menu "Para-
meter", submenu "Alarm", section "Alarm" can be used
to define the alarm display duration, alarm sound duration,
recording duration and alarm contact (NC or NO) and to make
other settings (chapter 6.7).
Output ALARM
A relay with a normally open contact (maximum power rating
of 30 V/1 A) is available as a potential-free alarm output. An
acoustic or optical alarm signal device, for example, can be
connected to the output ALARM.
PTZ connection RS485
The RS-485 interface can be used for remote control of suitable
cameras: e. g. pan, tilt, zoom, iris and motion speed.
Connect the contacts – (= RS-485-A) and + (= RS-485-B) to the
respective contacts of the camera. An additional camera can
be connected in parallel to the connections of the first camera
etc. until all cameras are connected in a chain. To reduce inter-
ference, twisted cables should be used. At the final camera of
the chain, terminate the two cables with a 120 Ω resistor (this
is often possible by means of a switch at the camera).
To be able to address the cameras independently from
the recorder, assign an individual address to the cameras (via
a menu or DIP switch at the camera). At the recorder, set the
address to be used to control the respective camera as well as
the transmission parameters and protocol the camera requires
(chapter 6.12).
5.5 Network
For remote control, connect the jack LAN (26) of the recorder
to a local network or to a router. Always observe the data
security notes in chapter 2!
5.6 Power supply
Connect the power supply unit to the jack 12 V⎓ (29) and to
a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz).
