Maintenance of your heated blanket is easy as long as you follow the steps set out
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
here below.
TAKE CARE: always remove the plug from the socket and the heating element
from the blanket before cleaning. When washing your blanket you must follow the
instructions here below or your blanket can shrink. This can cause overheating, fire or
injuries.
The blanket cannot be dry-cleaned. Dry-cleaning agents will damage the wiring.
Do not use bleach or use stain remover.
Do not use a wringing machine or a mangle.
Do not iron the blanket.
The blanket can be used only if it is completely dry.
Do not use mothballs or sprays on the blanket.
WASHING IN THE WASHING MACHINE
- Use a liquid detergent for wool or delicate materials.
- Select the washing programme "wool" or delicate.
- The temperature of the water must not be higher than 30°C.
- Remove the blanket from the washing machine, hang it up completely unfolded, and
let it dry in the fresh air. Do not use clothing pegs or any other type of fasteners on the
blanket.
WASHING BY HAND
Pleat the blanket and leave it to soak for 15 minutes in lukewarm water, not warmer
than 30°C. Use a detergent designed for wool or a detergent for delicate materials.
Knead the blanket softly by hand.
Rinse the blanket in clean, lukewarm water. The water must not be warmer than 30°C.
Remove the blanket from the water. Unfold it completely and let it dry in the fresh air.
Do not use clothing pegs or any other type of fasteners on the blanket.
