Operating procedures
Do not touch the tape surface directly with your fingers. Any dirt or
dust on the tape will smear the heads and deteriorate reproduction.
If there's any slack in the tape, eliminate it using a pencil or the like
as shown.
If you use such a cassette without taking up the slack
first, it is possible that the tape becomes entangled and permanently
damaged.
As the tape inside a C-120 cassette is extremely thin, utmost care
should be taken in handling the cassette. Tape may be deformed or
slackened
in some cases, causing distortion and other undesirable
results. For this reason, the C-120 cassette is not recommended for
general use.
Playback procedures
Turn on the POWER switch.
Pull the Head Cover toward you.
Load a recorded cassette tape.
Set the EQUALIZER
and DOLBY NR switches as required.
Push the Reset button to set the Tape Counter to "000."
Push the
' ® " button, and the tape will begin to move toward the
right-hand reel. The Tape Counter will begin to progress at the same
time.
7. Operate your,amplifier as required to enjoy the playback of your
recorded
tape. Now adjust the OUTPUT
LEVEL control! to match
the sound volume to that, which you hear, when you play a record
on your turntable.
8. If you want to enjoy the playback of recordings privately, insert
the headphones into the PHONES jack.
9. When
you wish to stop the playback, push the STOP button and
the tape will stop running.
