6. Assemble the post as shown in figure 7. If you have mounted the
guide at a height of less than 445mm, the post must be shortened
by cutting off a section at the bottom end.
7
7. Prepare the cable holding chain, joining the links of the pre-
assembled sections until you reach the exact length of the alu-
minium guide
8. Place the cable holding chain on a surface with the side where
the openings are facing upwards and, with the help of a probe,
thread the cable through it. At both ends, leave enough extra
cable to reach the points for the electrical connections.
9. Insert the cable holding chain inside the aluminium guide, as
shown in figure 8.

10. On the upper section of the cable holding chain connect leading
end "A"; then insert it in the appropriate guide seat and lock it in
position using screw "B".
11. Assemble the sliding carriage, joining the two parts "C" and "D"
with the screws "E".
12. Insert the assembled sliding carriage in the guide and make sure
it slides smoothly along the entire length of the chain. The sliding
carriage must not be lubricated!
13. If you need to mount a second sensitive edge on the opposite
side of the leaf, thread the electrical cable through hole "F", then
drill holes in the caps at point "G".
14. Insert the cable in the post as shown in figure 9; then insert the
head of the post in the guide's sliding carriage.

15. Secure the post to the ground in the pre-determined location,
using suitable screws and screw anchors.
16. Adjust the head of the post so that it will not be subject to bend-
ing during the entire travel of the leaf, then tighten all the screws.
17. Try sliding the leaf along its entire length, making sure that the
post is not subject to any lateral or crosswise thrusts other than
those thrusts resulting from the normal sliding of the carriage.
18. Make the electrical connections of the sensitive edge: connect
one end of the cable and the edge detection unit, then the oth-
er end of the cable.
