Additional Tools and Materials for Remote Installation
The following additional items are required if the blower motor is to be relocated from the standard position:
• Electrician pliers.
• Phillips screwdriver.
• Flat blade screwdriver.
• Adjustable end wrench.
• Drill and bits as required to install the blower mounting fasteners.
• 18 AWG non-metallic sheathed cable, two conductor with ground, with support clips, as required,
not provided.
• 4" (10.2 cm) x 2" (5 cm) electrical junction box with cover, gasket, and mounting screws, one (1)
each, not provided.
• Strain reliefs, three (3) total, one must fit the blower motor cover with standard NPT (National Pipe
Thread) threads, the other two are to fit the holes in the new junction box, not provided
• Wire connectors (wire nuts or equivalent), six (6) each, not provided.
• 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) PVC or other rigid pipe, with fittings, unions, PVC cement or equivalent fastening
method, and support clips, as required, not provided.
• Flathead wood screws, concrete anchors, or other fasteners for mounting the blower motor, four (4)
each, not provided.
• Solid copper 8 gauge bonding wire, 36" (91.4 cm).
