General Information
• The mower is designed exclusively for private use at home or
on hobby gardens (not for public parks, sports grounds, agri-
cultural
• use) on a slope with a maximum gradient of 10°.
• The mower is not licensed for use on public roads.
• Modifications to the mower and using it for anything other than
it was designed for are forbidden.
• Do not allow children or anyone else who has not read the
user manual use the mower. Children under the age og16 are
not allowed to use the mower.
• Never mow whenever people, especially children, or animals
are in close proximity.
• Do not let anyone else travel on the mower.
• All users should ensure that they receive expert and practical
training on how to use the Cart. The main topics of this training
should be:
- Understanding the need for care and concentration when
working with machines fitted with a seat
- machines fitted with a seat can not be controlled by using
the brake when on slopes.
• Main reasons for driving out of control are:
- wheels have insufficient grip
- driving too fast
- braking incorrectly
- maintenance not being carried out properly on the brakes
and accelerator pedal
- the mower is not suited to the use it is being put to.
- insufficient knowledge of ground conditions, especially on
slopes.
Preparation
• Never mow without wearing rugged shoes and long trousers.
• Remove all foreign objects from the grass, such as stones,
wood etc., before you start to mow.
• WARNING – petrol is highly inflammable.
- Only store fuel in proper containers.
- Only fill the mower with fuel in the open air.
- No smoking, no naked flames.
- Fill the tank with fuel (NORMAL PETROL) before you start
the motor.
- Always close the petrol tank cap properly.
- Do not fill with petrol or open the petrol tank cap when the
motor is running or the machine is hot.
- If petrol has spilt out of the tank do not attempt to start
the motor. Instead, you should clean the petrol from the
machine.
• Do not attempt to start the motor until the petrol fumes have
evaporated.
• For safety reasons you should change the petrol tank cap if it
is damaged.

Switch off engine, remove
key before cleaning and lea-

• Make sure that the mower seat is correctly locked and screwed
in place.
• Check that the mountings and brackets on the mower are tight.
• When you change the cutters make sure that you follow the
instructions and only use original replacement parts.
• Regularly check the grass trap for wear and inoperability.
• Check all mountings before you mow when using the side
ejector.
• The side ejector must be closed when you mulch.
• Check the side ejector often for the start of wear.
• Replaced defective silencers.
• Motors of machines with a four-stroke engine must be filled
with engine oil before being used for the first time.
• Always check the oil level before you start the motor.
Handling
• The combustion motor is not to run in confined spaces where
dangerous carbon monoxide can collect.
• Only mow in daylight or in good artificial-light conditions.
• Be careful of vehicle traffic when you cross roads or work next
to roads.
• Do not use the Cart on wet grass, if possible.
• Wet grass or grass that is too long is not suitable for mulching.
• Never use machines that have damaged protective devices or
protection is not fitted.
• The gear lever must be in neutral and the drive and cutter
must be switched off before you start the motor. Your foot must
not be on the accelerator pedal.
• Make sure the machine is on a level surface before you start
the motor.
• Do not change the governor setting on the motor or race
the motor. Operating the machine at excessive speeds can
increase the risk of accidents.
• Do not touch the exhaust during operation or shortly after the
motor has stopped.
• Hot parts can cause burning or cause you to jump which could
result in injuries.
• Always change the motor oil when the petrol tank is empty and
closed and the motor is warm.
• Only switch on the cutter when:
- hands and feet are at a safe distance from the cutter
- the mower is not in motion
- the mower is not in long grass
- the mower is set at the highest cutting height, set the cutter
to the desired cutting height after the motor starts.
• Stop the cutter before you cross surfaces that are not grass.
• When you are using add-on parts that are supplied with the
mowermake sure that grass is not ejected towards other peo-
ple and that no-one else in near to the mower when you are
mowing.
• Only mow in the first and second forward gears, not in reverse.
• Never change gear when the mower is mowing, only when it is
standing still.
