6.2.2 Disinfection
Only required after each dive if the full face mask is not
part of the diver's personal equipment or if a third
party's full face mask was used.
1. Prepare a disinfectant bath consisting of water and a
disinfecting agent.
2. Put all parts to be disinfected in the disinfectant
bath.
3. Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water.
4. Dry all parts in the air or in a drying cabinet
(temperature: max. 60 °C). Do not expose to direct
sunlight.
6.3 Renewing the valve discs for
control valves
1. Pull the old valve discs out towards the inside.
2. Insert the pin of the new valve discs in the bore hole
from the inside and pull it through from the outside
until the undercut of the pin is visible. The valve
discs should all be resting evenly on the inside.
6.4 Renewing the exhalation valve
disc
Remove the protective cap from the mask connector.
Press one spring holder flank inwards and remove the
spring holder. Grasp the valve disc nipple and pull it out
of the guide. The valve seat must be clean and
undamaged; if it is not, clean it. Moisten the new valve
disc with pressure plate with water and insert. For a
horizontal seat, the valve disc must slide into the guide
using its own weight. The spring holder is marked with
"L" = left and "R" = right and stands at an angle.
6.5 Lubricating the nose piece
guide
1. Loosen the screws from the nose piece levers and
remove the levers.
2. Pull the shafts and bows out to the inside of the full
face mask.
3. Clean the shafts, O-rings and guides with a lint-free
cloth or cotton bud, using new parts where
applicable, and re-lubricate everything with
®
Molykote
M111 silicone grease.
4. Refit the shafts and nose piece levers in reverse
order.
5. Tighten the screws firmly by hand.
