7 Installation
The mechanical and electrical installation and setup of the device must be performed by a qualified tech-
nician who has demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the construction and operation of automotive
equipment and installations, and who is familiar with the applicable regulations of the country in which the
equipment is to be installed and/or used, and has received safety training to identify and avoid the haz-
ards involved.
Installation location
When selecting an installation location, consider the following:
• The mounting surface must be even and sufficiently solid.
• The battery monitor must be installed in a location that is protected from moisture and dust.
• Install the battery monitor inside the vehicle.
• Install the battery monitor in a well ventilated area, away from flooded batteries and places with free acid
gasses.

• Using wrong cables can lead to excessive overheating of the cables, high voltage drops, and possi-
ble failures. Use only the cable supplied.
• Ensure that no electrical cables or other parts of the vehicle can be damaged by before drilling any
holes.

Description
Button to switch the battery monitor off.
Shows the battery state of charge in % and in a ring diagram.
• Red part: Displays the charge drawn from the battery.
• Green part: Displays the current state of charge.
Shows the battery voltage and the battery current.
