3.8 SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
For the proper use of this device, make sure that the operator has been correctly informed of the
content of this manual before using it.
This converter must be used only under the applications for which it has been designed and
according to these safety instructions.
Before connecting the converter to the vibrator, make sure that the voltage and frequency of the
vibrator coincide with the ones stated in the characteristics plate of the converter.
Ensure that all converter screws are tight before starting work.
Be sure that the parts of the poker are tight before starting work (welding points).
Keep the converter clean and dry
The device does not make noise by itself. Proper protective equipment must be used when
connecting a vibrating poker.
The device does not generate vibration. It must be checked the vibration level of the connected
poker in the user's manual of each vibrating poker.
When finishing the job or when taking a break, the operator must switch the vibrator off and place it
in a such way that should not fall or tip.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
4.1 GETTING STARTED
1.-
Before starting work, the correct operation of all handling and safety devices must be checked.
2.-
Check that all the screws are well tightened.
3.-
Check the battery charge status.
4.-
Operate converter switch and carry out the work
5.-
After the work is finished, clean the converter and the remains of fresh concrete adhering to it.
Do not use pressurized water to clean the converter.
6.-
Connect the vibrator to the converter.
7.-
When a defect or a malfunction has been detected, endangering the use of this machine or
not, stop the work and make the correspondent maintenance to avoid any danger or bigger
damage.
4.2 CONNECTION OF THE CHARGER TO THE MAINS (CHARGER)
The charger of the converter must be connected for charging to single phase current form 100 to
240V 1Ph 50-60Hz. The plug must fit the socket of the power source.
4.3 CONNECTION CHARGER TO BATERY
The charger of the converter must be connected for charging to single phase current form 110 to
230V 1Ph 50-60Hz. The plug must fit the socket of the power source.
4.4 BATTERY CHARGE STATUS
The colour and status of the LED will change depending on the charge in the battery:
•
100 to 50% green LED ON.
•
From 50 to 25% blue LED ON.
•
Less than 25% flashing green-blue, green LED on 2sec. and then blue LED on 2sec.
When the battery is low, the alarm is activated, 2 blue LED flashes.
