1. SAFETY
1.1. Safety symbols and labels on the device
Symbol
Description
Do not cover the device with clothing or other
objects to prevent overheating.
This type of electrical equipment has only
basic insulation and relies on earthing for
protection.
1.2. Safety warnings and regulations
Make sure you have read and understood the safety instructions fully before installing,
using or maintaining the appliance. In this way you avoid possible material damage
and immaterial damage to you or to others, the appliance, your other property or other
people's property.

WARNING
Fire hazard
• Never leave the appliance unattended while in use. Turn off the appliance and unplug
the plug when leaving the room.
• Never wrap the power cable around the appliance. Fully unwind the power cable
before use.
• Do not use this appliance with an extension lead or power strip.
• Before using the appliance, check that the voltage on the type plate matches the
voltage of the socket. Only connect the appliance to an earthed power socket.
• When placing the batteries in the remote control, ensure that the plus (+) and minus (-)
markings of the battery correspond to the plus (+) and minus (-) markings of the
appliance.
• Never use a battery that is not designed for use with the remote control.
• Never place the appliance near flammable materials. Keep textiles, curtains or other
flammable material at least one metre away from the air outlet to reduce the risk of
fire.
• The appliance is not intended for wall mounting.
• Never use the appliance on or near other heat sources.
• Do not cover the appliance.
• Do not block the appliance's air inlets or outlets.
• Never use a timer or a separate remote control that automatically turns the appliance
on.
• Always place the appliance horizontally on a flat and stable surface.
• Never use the appliance near explosive substances.
• Do not throw the appliance away with household waste. When disposing of the
appliance, follow national and local regulations regarding the environmentally friendly
disposal of the appliance.
Electrocution hazard due to short circuit:
• Do not use the appliance if any of its components are damaged or faulty. Replace a
damaged or faulty appliance immediately. Unplug the power cable and contact
customer service.
