button starts flashing rapidly As soon as the
settings on the transmitter have been made, the
button REMOSET will light continuously again
If the flashing of the button REMOSET slows
down after approx 20 seconds, automatic syn-
chronization of the transmitter has failed To
stop the flashing, press the button SET (8) For
troubleshooting, see items 1 – 3 at the beginning
of this chapter Then press the button REMOSET
again
4.5 Establishing a transmission path
1) Set the transmission frequency on the re-
ceiver (
☞
chapter 4 3, table row
) If the LED indicators RF (5) indicate
FREQ
radio reception even though the transmit-
ter is switched off, interference or signals
from another wireless transmitter are being
received In this case, set the receiver to a
different transmission frequency
2) Switch on the transmitter and set the trans-
mitter to the transmission frequency of the
receiver (most conveniently by means of the
REMOSET function) The LED indicators RF
will indicate the strength of the radio signal
For information with regard to the indi-
cations on the display, please refer to item 7
of the overview in chapter 1
3) Speak / Sing into the microphone of the
transmitter or, in case of an instrument mi-
crophone, play the instrument and use the
volume control VOL (3) to match the output
level of the receiver to the input of the sub-
sequent unit
The LED indicators AF (6) indicate the vol-
ume level of the transmitter If required, the
volume can be readjusted on the transmitter

If no signal is received or if reception is poor,
please check the following items:
– Are the batteries of the transmitter discharged?
The receiver indicates the battery status of the
transmitter:

– Is the reception disturbed by objects in the
transmission path?
Make sure to keep the transmitter and the
receiver at a minimum distance of 50 cm from
metal objects and any other sources of inter-
ference, e g electric motors or fluorescent
lamps
– Is the reception improved when the receiving
antennas (1) are moved?
– Is the transmission power of the transmitter
too low (

mitter", row RF PWR) and / or is the squelch
value too high (
or
receiver", row SQ)?
