MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
B 1 Side Arm
C 1 Side Arm
SCP 1 Safety Chain Plate Kit, including 2 x M12 x 35 x 1.75p Bolts from Bolt Kit
X 8 M14 x 50 x 2.0 Bolts, Plain Washers and Lock Washers
X1 8 M14 x 90 x 2.0 Bolts, Plain Washers and Lock Washers
ZE 1 Retractable Electrical Plate
ZN 1 Neck Kit (Series 3002 for XF, Series 3022 for XE)
FITTING
1. Remove Bumper (wheel arch screws, screw behind wheel arch liner, screws/clips along bottom edge, screws at each
corner of the tailgate opening.
2. Remove Steel Bumper Beam and retain all fasteners (X & X1) for use installing the tow bar.
3. Insert each Side Arm (B & C) into the end of each chassis rail and loosely secure with fasteners (X1).
4. Fit Cross Bar (A) on top of Side Arms (B & C), and to the same fixing points as Steel Bumper Beam using fasteners (X)
5. Assemble the chosen Neck Option (ZN), safety Chain Plate (SCP) and Retractable Electrical Plate (ZE) to Cross Bar
(A) using separate Fitting Instructions from Neck Kit. Note: If fitting a detachable neck, use 2-off fasteners supplied
with the neck and the 2-off longer fasteners supplied with Plate Kit (SCP) on Safety Chain Plate side.
6. Refit Bumper to vehicle.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm
Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
