Install and Remove Accessories (Fig. 7)
WARNING
Your tool is equipped with an SDS Plus chuck with a built-in Hex collet for 1/4 inch bits.
Lock the trigger switch "OFF" on the tool by placing the direction-of-rotation selector in the
center position.
To install the accessory:
a. For SDS+ accessories:
Clean the accessory and lightly lubricate it before inserting it into the chuck.
Pull back the locking sleeve and insert the accessory in the SDS+ chuck while turning and
pushing it until it engages; the accessory locks in position automatically.
b. For hex bits:
When using hex bits, a magnetic insert bit holder with a length of the hexagon shank of at
least 40mm is required (included).
Pull back the locking sleeve and insert the bit into the chuck as far as it will go.
Pull the accessory to check that it is firmly locked in place.
To remove the accessory:
Pull back the locking sleeve and remove the accessory from the chuck.
NOTICE: The SDS+ accessory requires freedom of movement, which causes eccentricity
in the revolutions when tool is off-load; however, the accessory automatically centers itself
during operation without affecting drilling precision.
