1. Remove and trim underbody panels – Using a screwdriver, remove plastic expanding fasteners from the bottom of the panels, using a 10mm socket remove the
nuts on the forward edge of the panels, while turning and pulling downward remove the remaining plastic fasteners from the panels. Trim the underbody panels, See
Figure 3 for example.
2. Enlarge access hole – Remove the plugs / stickers that are covering the attachment holes and the access hole from each framerail. Using a die grinder remove
enough material from the edge of the hole to allow the carriage bolt to fit through. Adding spray paint to the enlarged area may help against corrosion.
