Battery
It is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery for starting When the vehicle is not in use for a long
time (≥2 months), the battery needs to be removed for storage. However, for optimal battery life, you must
properly charge the battery to provide enough power for the starter motor When the vehicle is in frequent
use, the vehicle charging system automatically charges the battery If the vehicle is used only occasionally
or for a short period of time, the battery may be low in power
To avoid battery damage and power loss, do not idle the vehicle for more than 30 minutes Otherwise, the
vehicle cannot be started
Batteries can also self-discharge which speed depends on battery type and environment temperature
When environment temperature rises for example, the speed could increase by a factor of 1 for every
15°C temperature rise
Battery sulphation
A common battery failure is sulphation When the battery is short of power for a long time, electrolyte can
be sulphated Sulphation is an abnormal product produced by chemical reaction in battery If the battery
sulphation occurs, the battery discharging can cause the battery plate permanent damage, and cause the
battery to be impossible to be charged When such a fault occurs, the only way is to replace the battery
with a new one
Battery maintenance
Always keep the battery fully charged, or it may damage the battery
If the vehicle is driven infrequently, inspect the battery voltage weekly with a voltmeter If it drops to below
128 volts, the battery should be charged( contact your dealer for inspection) If you will not use the vehicle
for longer than 2 weeks, it is a must to charge the battery with a charger Do not use an automotive quick-
charger that may overheat the battery and damage it
