1. General aspects
1.1. Intended use
The universal "System HD" spray gun is used exclusively to process sprayable media, such as
lacquers and paints, greases, oils and anti-corrosion agents, ceramic glazes and mordants.
As all wetted parts are made of stainless steel, aqueous materials can be sprayed. If the materials you want to spray
are not listed here, please get in touch with STORCH Malerwerkzeuge & Profigeräte GmbH in D-42107 Wuppertal in
Germany.
The sprayable material may be applied only on workpieces and/or objects. The temperature of the spraying material
must not exceed 80 deg. C as a matter of principle.
The intended use includes also that all notes and instructions of these operating instructions are read, understood and
observed.
1.2. Improper use
The spray gun must not be used for other purposes than those mentioned in the chapter on intended use. Every other
use is considered unapproved use. Unapproved uses include, such as
–
spraying of materials on persons and animals,
– spraying of liquid nitrogen.
2. General safety precautions
Observe all applicable accident protection rules and otherwise accepted safety
and occupational health rules.
Only work in well ventilated rooms. Fire, naked light and smoking are forbidden at the workplace. When spraying
easily inflammable materials (such as lacquers, adhesives, cleaning agents, et cetera), there is a higher health, explosi-
on and fire risk.
In order to ensure sufficient earthing of the spray gun, earthed air tubes only shall be used.
Prior to any servicing and repair, depressurise the air and material feed to the spray gun - risk of injury.
When spraying materials, do not hold hands or other parts of the body in front of the pressurised nozzle of the spray
gun - risk of injury.
Do not point the spray gun to persons and animals - risk of injury.
Observe the processing and safety instructions of the manufacturers of the spraying materials and cleaning agents. In
particular, aggressive and caustic materials may cause health damage.
The particle-laden outlet air has to be kept away from the work area and the operating staff. Nonetheless wear the
mandatory respiratory protection and the mandatory work clothing, when processing materials with the spray gun. Flo-
ating particles jeopardise your health.
Wear hearing protection in the work area of the spray gun. The sound level of the spray gun is abt. 85 dB(A).
During start-up, in particular after mounting and servicing work, please make sure that all nuts and screws are tighte-
ned properly.
Use original spare parts only as they only ensure safe and perfect function.
