Baby Food Chopping Tips
• Always consult your pediatrician on appropriate foods for your
child's age.
• Precook meats completely.
• For a smoother consistency, steam or boil hard fruits and vegeta-
bles for approximately 10–20 minutes or until tender.
General Chopping Tips
• The bowl has a capacity of 3 cups (750 ml). For liquid ingredients,
do not exceed 1 3/4 cups (425 ml) (MAX LIQUID FILL line on
bowl).
• For more control, process by pressing the LO or HI Pulse button
briefly, then releasing. Check consistency and continue if desired.

Cut fruit into large chunks. Place up to 2 cups (500 ml) of pieces into chopper. Pulse on HI.
Cut vegetables into 1-inch (2.5 cm) chunks. Place up to 2 cups (500 ml) in chopper at a time.
Pulse on HI.
• Cool cooked foods thoroughly and chop into small pieces.
• Fill bowl halfway; then puree foods, adding small amounts of
water or cooking liquid to reach the desired consistency.
• As your baby gets older, foods can have a chunkier consistency.
Adjust chopping time accordingly.
• Precut vegetables into 1-inch (2.5 cm) chunks and place in bowl.
This will result in more uniform consistency.
• Do not process raw meat, coffee beans, baking chocolate, or
whole, hard spices in the food chopper. This could damage the
chopper.
