5.4 Noise behaviour
For a silent operation with an installation which is
sensitive to noise (e.g. radiators), the maximum
differential pressure across the connection fitting should
not exceed 600 mbar.
6 Installation
The fitting with "Q-Tech" must only be installed into a
clean pipework system.
Observe warning advice under paragraph 2
(safety notes)!
6.1 Connection of the fitting to the radiator
For radiators with female thread G
enclosed self-sealing nipples into the connection
nipples of the integrated distributor of the radiator
(torque about 40 Nm). For radiators with G
thread, introduce the enclosed inserts into the
connection nipples of the radiator.
Screw the connection fitting "Multiflex FQ" to the
radiator free from tension.
Tighten the collar nuts at the connection to the radiator
with a torque of 20 - 30 Nm. The flow regulator and
the isolation must be easily accessible.
NOTICE
The supply and return pipe connections must be
strictly observed as the fluid has to be transported
in the specified direction of flow (see illustr. 3, 4 and
6). The supply has to be connected to the side of
the flow regulator marked with a black ring (pos. 5,
illustr. 5). The angle pattern model is available for
left and right hand side connection (allocation of the
connections see illustr. 6).

Illustr. 6 Allocation of the connections of the angle
pattern model for left/right hand side connection
An angle pattern fitting for left or right hand side
connection can be converted into a model for right or
left hand side connection by interchanging the valve
inserts. (The below description is only valid for fittings
in dismounted condition.)
1. Remove the caps on both sides.
2. Unscrew the valve insert "QA" (pos. 2, illustr. 5)
3. Swap both valve inserts and fit them into the body
4. Remove the black ring (pos. 5, illustr. 5) for marking
5. Refit the caps.

When installing the pipework, please make sure that
the pipes run parallel and are free from tension. The
position of the supply and return pipe connection must
be strictly observed as the fluid has to be transported
in the specified direction of flow. The supply has to be
connected to the side of the flow regulator marked
with a black ring (pos. 5, illustr. 5).
For the connection of copper, precision steel, stainless
steel and plastic pipes as well as the composition pipe
"Copipe", the Oventrop compression fittings are to be
used (alternatively, the compression fittings of other
manufacturers – except for the composition pipe
"Copipe" – which are suitable for the connection to
male thread G
"Euro") may also be used).
1. Cut the pipes to the required length at a right angle

side ("QA" valve insert).
NOTICE
The valve insert and the isolating insert are tightened
with a torque of 15 Nm.
Use a 19 mm spanner for mounting or dismounting
the inserts.
