7. Important Note: When Counting US Paper Bills
This unit counts both Canadian and US bills. In the US setting option, UV and Magnetic Counterfeit Detection is included with the
default US setting used to detect suspect US currency. The information below includes some basic information about the US setting
and the counterfeit detection features included.
i) Ultraviolet Counterfeit Detection
Counterfeit bills often use white or bleached paper, which will glow under ultraviolet light.
ii) Infrared Counterfeit Detection
Infrared light is used to measure the width of the center of each bill. The light will detect if there is an odd-sized bill.
iii) Magnetic Counterfeit Detection
There is a presence of magnetic components that are standard in authentic bills.
The magnetic sensor detects for the magnetic components.
Note:
The machine will stop and beep when counting the half bills. (EE4)
The machine will stop and beep when the counted bill width size is over 5mm larger thanUSD bill size in USA mode. (EE8)
The bill counter is preset for Canadian currency. Over extensive use, however, minor adjustment of the Bill Guide may become
necessary.
If: 1. The bills are deformed
2. The machine is considerably slow
3. Error message is lit frequently
The hopper tension may be to tight. To loosen this tension,
please turn the Bill Thickness Adjuster one notch to the left (-).
Place the bills back into the hopper to test the machine again.
If errors occur, adjust as necessary.
If: 1. The bills are flying out
2. The display shows a miscount
3. Error message is lit frequently
The hopper tension may be to loose. To tighten this tension, please turn the Bill Thickness Adjuster one notch to the right (-).
Place he bills back into the hopper to test the machine again. If errors occur, adjust as necessary.
When the machine is running without any errors, it is ready to accept your currency.
