8. Commissioning

Check again that all connections are correct.
Do not put the product into operation if it is damaged.
Always switch on the system's amplifi er last and off fi rst. This will prevent any undesired noises (which can typically
occur when switching off the CD player) from damaging the amplifi er or loudspeakers.
Make sure that the connected devices are not overloaded. Playback must never be distorted. If distorted music signals
can be heard although the volume on the amplifi er is not set too high, switch off the CD player immediately and check
the connection. If the connection is correct, please contact a specialist.
The CD player can play music fi les in the MP3 format. MP3 is a fi le format to compress music. Save the MP3 fi les on a CD, SD
card or USB drive and play these on the CD player without the need to connect this to your computer. Different formats, bit rates,
sampling frequencies, encoding procedures and playlists make it possible that not all tracks are recognised.
Remote control
1. Open the battery compartment (48) and insert two AAA batteries.
2. Observe the correct polarity (+/-) according to the labelling.
3. Close the battery compartment. Make sure that the cover clicks properly into place.
4. Replace the batteries when they are used.
5. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment when you plan not to use the remote control over an extended period
of time.

Ensure that there are no objects between the remote control's infrared LED (37) and the infrared sensor (4) on
the device.
The buttons on the remote control have the same function as the corresponding buttons on the device. All main
functions can be controlled via remote control. The following functions are operated with the buttons on the
device and explained, if no other instructions are given.
Mains connection
The CD player and all connected devices must be switched off when the power supply is connected.
Make sure that all electrical connections and connection cables between the different devices and any extension
cables comply with the regulations and the operating instructions.
1. Connect the small connection plug of the mains cable to the mains connection (36) on the device.
2. Connect the mains cable plug to a proper mains socket (100 - 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz).
Switching on
1. Turn the volume control of the connected amplifi er down completely.
2. Turn the CD player on using the Power (31) button.
3. Then switch on the mixer, if connected, and then the amplifi er.
Switching off
1. Interrupt playback by pushing the PLAY/PAUSE button
2. Switch off the amplifi er and any connected mixer.
3. Only then turn the CD player off using the POWER (31) button.
Inserting a CD
Do not insert any damaged CDs into the player. The high rotational speed may cause it to crack and damage the device. Do not
insert more than one CD. Never interfere with the motor-driven movement of the CD tray (1).
1. Push the button EJECT (22) to open the CD-tray (1). Place an audio CD in the CD tray with the labelled side upwards. Hold the CD at the
outer edge and do not touch the CD on the inside.
2. Push the button EJECT (22) to close the CD-tray (1).
3. Then, the device automatically sets the CUE mark at the beginning of the fi rst track on the CD and goes into pause mode. You can now
start playback.

En mode Pause, le lecteur CD bascule en mode « Stutter » (bégaiement) dès que la molette JOG (28) est actionnée.
Les touches SEARCH
Fonction CUE
La fonction CUE permet de défi nir un point de démarrage pour la lecture. Vous pouvez choisir, de manière ciblée, à quel emplacement un titre
commence. Les « blancs » au début d'un titre et les introductions indésirables d'un titre peuvent ainsi être « masqués ». Le point de démarrage
peut être déterminé automatiquement ou manuellement. Si vous appuyez sur la touche CUE (30) pendant la lecture, l'appareil retourne au
dernier point enregistré puis bascule en mode Pause. La touche CUE (30) clignote brièvement à chaque fois que vous enregistrez un nouveau
point CUE.
Défi nition du point CUE
1. Le point CUE est automatiquement défi ni
- après l'insertion de chaque CD, de la clé USB ou de la carte SD, au début du premier titre.
- après chaque sélection d'un titre à l'aide des touches TRACK
OPEN
- durant la lecture au début de chaque nouveau titre, au début du titre.
2. Pour défi nir manuellement le point CUE, vous devez interrompre la lecture à l'emplacement souhaité en appuyant sur la touche PLAY /
PAUSE (29). L'appareil active la fonction PAUSE. La molette JOG (28) permet d'effectuer un réglage précis du point de départ CUE (voir
„Mise en service, Recherche"). Démarrez maintenant la lecture. Le point CUE est redéfi ni à cet emplacement.
Contrôle du point CUE
1. Appuyez sur la touche CUE (30) pendant la lecture ou en mode Pause.
2. L'appareil retourne au point CUE puis bascule en mode pause.
3. Appuyez sur la touche CUE (30) et maintenez-la enfoncée.
4. La lecture démarre à partir du point CUE tant que vous maintenez la touche CUE (30) enfoncée.
5. Si vous relâchez la touche, le lecteur CD retourne au point CUE puis bascule en mode Pause.
Suppression d'un point CUE
L'ancien point CUE est automatiquement effacé dès qu'un nouveau point CUE est défi ni.
Fonction LOOP (boucle de lecture)
L'appareil vous permet de mémoriser une boucle de lecture « sans interruption » (LOOP). Le point de départ et le point fi nal de la boucle
peuvent être défi nis en mode Lecture ou en mode Pause.
Enregistrement puis lecture avec la fonction LOOP
1. Au point de départ souhaité pour la boucle de lecture, appuyez sur la touche LOOP IN (27). La DEL LOOP IN s'allume.
2. Au point fi nal souhaité pour la boucle de lecture, appuyez sur la touche LOOP OUT (25). Les DEL LOOP IN et LOOP OUT clignotent.
3. La boucle de lecture est maintenant répétée en continu.
4. Appuyez sur la touche LOOP OUT (25) pour quitter la boucle de lecture.
5. L'enregistrement d'une boucle de lecture est signalé par les DEL LOOP IN et LOOP OUT allumées. Appuyez sur la touche RELOOP (24)
pour répéter une boucle de lecture enregistrée.
La boucle de lecture en cours est effacée dès qu'une nouvelle boucle est programmée ou qu'un nouveau titre est sélectionné.
Curseur de réglage PITCH
1. Maintenez la touche PITCH (17) enfoncé jusqu'à ce que le bouton s'allume en rouge.
2. À l'aide de la touche PITCH (17), sélectionnez la plage de réglage max. pour le curseur de réglage (4 % / 8 % / 16 %). La plage de réglage
défi nie s'affi che brièvement sur l'écran.
(7) / (8) permettent toujours d'effectuer une recherche rapide.
(6) / (9), au début du titre.
