5.1
Installing the gas detector - installation
without mounting accessories
The gas meter is installed vertically on a flat surface with the antenna facing
upwards.
For installation with mounting accessories, see corresponding assembly
instructions.
Prerequisites:

A suitable installation location is selected (see "Safety information", section
"Mechanical installation", page 32).

► Do not use the gas detector in environments with increased oxygen content.
Install the gas detector:
● Install the gas detector using the drilling template (see appendix "Drilling
template") and M6 (1/4") hexagon socket head cap screws.
5.2
Installing the antenna
1. Remove the cover cap from the antenna connector (Fig. A 4).
2. Screw the antenna into the connector and tighten it by hand.
5.3
Installing the remote antenna
1. Remove the protective cap for the antenna on the connection (Fig. A 4).
2. Screw antenna cable to connection and tighten hand-tight.
3. Select an installation location where a perfect signal transmission is
ensured. The antenna must point up vertically.
4. Attach the mounting bracket at the installation location of the remote
antenna.
5. Lay the antenna cable.
6. Screw the remote antenna in at the end of the antenna cable and tighten it
by hand.
5.4
Installing the EC sensor
Prerequisites:
–
The gas detector is installed.
If the gas detector is already switched on and an existing sensor is changed,
see "Replacing the sensor", page 49.
Install sensor:
1. Loosen the set screw (Fig. B 2).
2. Unscrew the bayonet ring (Fig. B 3).
