Possible cause
Piercing unit / T DISC
holder is not properly
inserted.
The T DISC is not

not inserted properly.

condensation.
The Service T DISC
must always be used
for cleaning and
descaling processes.
Brewing Unit opened
while in Automatic or
Manual mode before
returning to stand-by

Blocked filter in
T DISC due to use of
chemically softened
water.
Solution
Insert the T DISC holder and piercing
unit properly.
Re-insert the T DISC and make sure it
is properly positioned.
Ensure T DISC is not damaged or
pierced in the wrong place before
commencing brewing.
Push the clamp down firmly until it
audibly clicks into place.
Stop the brewing process: press the
start/stop button, wait until orange
light, remove the T DISC and clean the
brewing unit.
Do not use chemically softened water.
Be sure water is not treated with so-
dium based softener.
Check to ensure that the piercing unit is
inserted properly.
Condensation may occur and is not a
fault. Remove it by wiping with a cloth.
Look for the Service T DISC in the
storage compartment at the back of the
appliance.
A Service T DISC can be purchased
from TASSIMO or Bosch Customer
Service Department at 1-877-TDISCS1
(1-877-834-7271) and only in the USA
on www.tassimo.com.
Wait for brewing to complete and
machine to return to stand-by mode
before opening.
Check that the water is not treated
with sodium based softener. If water is
chemically softened, discard water in
tank, rinse three times with non-chem-
ically softened water and refill. Start
a cleaning process with the Service
T DISC.
