ABDOMINAL SUPPORT BELT CSB/ CSA

applications and use of this medical

INDICATION
For abdominal and low back conditions
that may benefit from abdominal com-
pression and gross motion restriction,
such as:
• Abdominal strain or weakness of
the abdominal area (post-partum,
post-surgery) associated to: sciatica,
lumbago / low back pain.
PERFORMANCE
The devices provide compression and/
or support to the abdomen.
The devices reduce low back pain.
The devices provide lumbar spine gross
motion restriction.
CONTRAINDICATION
Must not be used by individuals for
whom compression is contraindicated.
WARNINGS • PRECAUTIONS OF USE
Patients suffering from pelvic floor
weakness should consult with their
medical professional before using the
orthosis.
The orthosis must not be used in direct
contact with a damaged skin
This product contains Naturel Rubber
Latex which may cause allergic reac-
tions.
Do not wear for extended periods wi-
thout medical follow-up.
The orthosis is a single patient use de-
vice. Do not use for multiple patients.
If any problems occur with the use of
the orthosis, e.g. pain or appearance
of local signs, remove the orthosis and
contact your healthcare professional
The user and/or patient must report
any serious incident that has occurred
in relation to the device to the manu-
facturer and the competent authority
of the Member State in which the user
and/or patient is established.

The size is to choose in accordance with the waist circumference, measured 2cm
above the iliac crests (in cm).

FEATURES OF THE DEVICE
The system consists of:
• A lengthwise elastic waistband
with a standard height of 26 cm
(6516/6516SM) or 21cm (6616/6616SM)
at the front which covers the abdomen.
It includes four rigid stays at the rear
to support the lumbar region and three
stays at the front.
• A front plate, comprising three rigid
stays and a wide range of adjustment,
which is fixed laterally by hook-and-loop
fastening systems.
SET UP AND OPERATION
The first application should be carried
out by a qualified healthcare profes-
sional to understand the correct fitting
and how to put the device on properly.
Subsequently, the product should be
put on the patient in the same way by
the user or a family member or a friend.
Wear over an undergarment or light
clothing,
1- Position the bottom part of the belt
at the top of the gluteal cleft
2- Center the dorsal ribs on either side
of the spine. The Gibaud logo must be
on the right side.
3- The belt must be closed by stretching
the two sides symmetrically using the
finger holes.
CARE INSTRUCTION, MAINTENANCE
AND DISPOSAL
Store the brace away from sources of
extreme heat (including radiators and
tumble dryers). Hand wash in warm
soapy water (maximum 40 ° C), rinse
thoroughly. Wring out gently; do not
bleach; dry flat, do not tumble dry; do
not iron; do not dry clean.
The device and packaging must be dis-
posed of in accordance with respective
local or national environmental regu-
lations.
