3. Maintenance
Prior to maintenance servicing, pull off the power cord.
3.1 Cleaning the filter element quarterly.
1)
Undo the truss head screw.
2)
Remove the filter cover by pulling off in the direction
shown.
3)
Take out the filter element and slap down dust by
hand. If it is heavily contaminated, wash it by using
neutral detergent. Then wash it with water and let it
dry in the air.
4)
Reassemble the filter element back in place. Make
sure to put the harder side of the filter downwards.
Press in the filter cover into the position shown.
5)
Secure the filter cover with truss head screw.
CAUTION
Do not use benzene or thinner to clean the
filter element as it can damage it.
3.2 Occasional checks
Is air blowing out properly?
Is the air pump making abnormal noise or vibrations?
Is the temperature of the air pump abnormally high?
Is the power cord or the plug damaged, swelled or discoloured?
If any irregularity is found, read DIAGNOSIS OF FAILURES.
