Description
ATS1743 is an RS485 to multimode optical fibre interface for
directly extending the Advisor Master data bus with optical
fibre.
Mounting the unit
ATS1743 has a standard ATS 'B' board footprint, mountable in
existing ATS metalwork.

+12 red, 12 VDC supply input.

60 mA maximum when transmitting at high power on both
fibres simultaneously.
D+ white, Positive and negative data connection of the RS485
D− green
databus.
Units can be up to 1.5 km from the RAS, DGP or control
panel, depending on the cable used. Recommended
WCAT52/54; 2-pair twisted, shielded, data cable.

A Transmitting on fibre optic channel A.
B Transmitting on fibre optic channel B.
Links
HIB This link enables high power transmission on fibre channel B.
HIA This link enables high power transmission on fibre channel A.
Mode Fitted: Uni.-directional HDX two fibres.
Not Fitted: bi-directional HDX single fibre.
TERM See ATS control panel installation manual
This link connects the negative of the supply to the chassis
and earth lug. The link is not normally installed.
